The Village interacts on a daily basis with our hometown of Clear Lake and the other North Iowa communities we serve.
- The Village is the largest employer in Clear Lake, with approximately 570 full and part-time staff.
- We currently have a budget of $17 million.
- The Village provides services to businesses as a way to employ the people we serve, such as assembly work, mailing preparation, etc.
- People served shop in local stores, worship with the congregation of their choice, use professional services available and attend community events.
VILLAGE GENERAL STORE
The Village General Store offers quality used clothing and household goods. Proceeds from our store support Village services to people with disabilities. Located at Maplewood Plaza, Hwy. 18 W., Clear Lake, IA; phone 641-357-5270. Hours 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday.
Volunteers help run the store, and donation of goods are always welcome.

BOYER POOL
Opportunity Village operates a heated, indoor, Olympic-length pool, which is open to the general public. Pool proceeds go to support the Village's services for people with disabilities. Swimmers can use the pool for $2 each time or become a member of the pool. Public swimming hours include:
- Early morning lap swim from 6 to 7 a.m. weekdays;
- Open swimming from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays; and 7 to 9 p.m. weeknights (excluding Tuesdays).
- Aqua exercise classes weekday mornings and afternoons.
Swimming lessons are offered several times a year for children 4 and older.
Boyer Pool also is available for rental times at $30 an hour (more for larger groups).
