Family & Friends Meeting

Posted August 9, 2010
The Family and Friends Association of Opportunity Village will meet on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.  If you have a family member served by the Village, you're invited to join us!

Come early for coffee and rolls and a chance to visit with Village Administration.  An informal time of sharing joys and concerns will take place in the Forum from 8:30 until 9:45 a.m.

At 10 a.m., join us in the gymnasium for informative presentations about Village happenings.  Learn about the services offered at our Northwoods Living locations in Fort Dodge.  Linda Smith, Team Administrator for NWL, will be present to share about the history, services, and growth in the Fort Dodge community.  NWL joined forces with Opportunity Village in January of this year.

Mike Hall, Recycling Coordinator, will share the exciting things that are happening at the Village related to our recycling program.  You will be amazed at the amount of material the Village collects and recycles.  Not only is revenue generated by selling recycled materials, countless jobs are created for those we support.  Come see what has worked and what hasn't in our attempts to go green and generate money and jobs.

Lunch will be served in your family member's cottage or at the center if you are from off-campus.

The Village Lake Choir and Sing It With Sign will present a summer concert entitled "Family" at 1:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.  All are welcome to attend this special presentation.

You are encouraged to invite relatives and friends join you for any of these activities.
